Availability of the Growth Reporting System (GRS) for Viewing 2012-13 Educator State-Provided Growth Results

The secure online Growth Reporting System (GRS) is now available for educators in districts to view State-provided growth results. The GRS enables authorized teachers, principals, and district personnel to securely access State-provided 2012-13 educator growth results and growth data, as well as 2011-12 data, if applicable. Student rosters, which are available in the system, provide educators with student-level information used in constructing these growth results.

McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Required Training Field Memo #05-2013

The New York State Education Department is requiring the participation of school districts at one of this year’s McKinney-Vento workshops or webinars hosted by our technical assistance center, NYS-TEACHS.

DTSDE Request for Qualification Survey

DTSDE - Diagnostic Tool for School and District Effectiveness (DTSDE) Institute, September 24-27, 2013

The first DTSDE Institute for the 2013-14 school year will take place September 24 – 27, 2013 at the Hilton Albany Hotel in Albany, New York. The four day training is for continuing and new participants and will focus on the revised version of the DTSDE rubric and all DTSDE protocols, processes, and timelines.

Office of Bilingual Education

The Office of Bilingual Education and Foreign Language Services (OBE-FLS) is now under the direction of Associate Commissioner Angelica Infante-Green. The OBE-FLS was previously under the auspices of the Office of Accountability and is now a separate office.
