Regulations on Charter School Admissions Lotteries
Uniform Application Form
The 2010 amendments to the New York State Charter Schools Act of 1998 (Education Law §2854(2)(b))directed the State Education Department to establish regulations to for the random selection process for charter school student admissions and to create a “uniform application form” for applications for admission to a charter school.

Public comment will be received until: 45 days after publication of the notice (5 p.m., Mon. Dec. 5, 2011).
- The Department has also finalized a draft of the uniform application form and corresponding directions: Though this is not subject to a formal public comment process, a draft is attached for your review and comment prior to finalization.
