Alternative Science Laboratory Experiences Related to Homebound Tutoring

What constitutes an alternative laboratory has been discussed in many conversations related to homebound instruction.  Schools develop curricula based on the New York State learning standards.  These curricula, especially in the sciences, include the laboratory experiences.  A student on homebound instruction should receive an education that is comparable to the education that would be received if the student was in the classroom.  An alternative laboratory should address the same content, concepts, and process skills that would be addressed in the classroom/laboratory.
