Description: |
The purpose of the federal New York Charter School Dissemination Grant is to provide funds to support the dissemination of effective practices and programs that have been developed, tested, and proven successful in New York Charter Schools. Dissemination funds are made available to assist charter schools in disseminating their successful innovations to any district school(s) in New York through designated partnerships. |
Eligible Applicants: |
A charter school may apply for a dissemination grant if the school is in at least its fourth consecutive year of operation with students and is in “Good Standing” or “Reward” status under NYSED’s state accountability system for 2012-2013. |
Funding: |
Individual awards are available for up to $500,000 for three years—two years for project implementation and one year for evaluation. Total funding is $5,000,000 for this grant program, and subject to availability of funds from the United States Department of Education. |
